Aight. I got a small bonus and I think I'm going to complete my CH collection (pedals only) with FS & throttle here pretty quick. That being said- I'm facing the realities of getting set up on something totally new- and I'm not looking forward to that curve.

Currently, I use a TIR2 Pro. As you know- no zoom axis. I have come to rely GREATLY on rotary 1 for precise zooming in and out. I can't get a TIR4 pro right away. What -if anything- can I do about this? I'm not keen on using the trim wheel- Don't want to remove hands from controls to adjust zoom. How about that thumb switch on the left side of the FS shaft? Better idea?

Same goes for other rotary- my MFD zoom. I need the ability to QUICKLY adjust this. Currently- the rotary works the Flanker display just fine with an axis mapping, but doesn't work for SHIT adjusting the Skhval, or the TVM (A10) It totally misses 8x and doesn't adjust the Mav-D at all. The MFD zoom axis is apparently broken in those 2 planes, and mapping it in SST crashes my computer for some reason.

These two items are my main fear. I can't fight without these 2 things working sensibly (ergonomically).

I'm getting a headache just thinking about setting up scripting for toe brakes.... I've never done any of this stuff before.

Like I said-I have the pro pedals now. I never installed the CHMGR disk- XP picked them up w/ no problem. I assume before installing the other components I should unplug the pedals, yeah? Plug in when prompted, etc. I also assume that I will be asked what I have and be walked through what to plug in and when?

Profiles- need separate ones for ground/ fighter? I'm thinking that you could make a universal one for russian fighters- maybe even all fighters, but I can't get my arms around not having a dedicated T frog profile.

Alright that's all I can think of for now- sorry for teh n00b questions.. I don't want to frigg it all up during the actual install process, and get myself in a real bind.
