chaser Posted November 7, 2018 Posted November 7, 2018 Hi Guys I want to plan a simple landing mission - I know there are already a few for the SU-25T , My questions 1 what height to do add the way point to get on the glide slope of the destination airport- is it just a case of adding the way point simply to the run way? if so just by setting the altitude will the ILS come into play 2 Can I add exit way points - so i perform a "touch and go landing" and then way points to another air field Thanks in advance [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Frederf Posted November 7, 2018 Posted November 7, 2018 3° is a 1:20 relationship so 1km height 20km away. Su-25 landing is automated, complicated and not ILS (PRMG?). Are you doing this for an AI or a human pilot? Just a simple landing type waypoint will get AI down. The landing waypoint has to be the last one in the flight plan.
chaser Posted November 7, 2018 Author Posted November 7, 2018 thank you for a human pilot [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Frederf Posted November 7, 2018 Posted November 7, 2018 By default the route mode switches over from МРШ to ВЗВ passing the last non-landing waypoint. ВЗВ directs in a complicated way ending in a changeover to ПОС for landing approach. If you want you can skip the ВЗВ step by having the last waypoint at the transition to ПОС. Placing last non-landing waypoint 18km away at 1000m should skip directly from waypoint to ПОС smoothly. It helps if you're ~450 km/h with maneuver flaps approaching this point within ~15° of alignment already.
