Worrazen Posted December 4, 2018 Posted December 4, 2018 Since a thread already exist I didn't need to make one, I was originally replying to the post the OP created in the Mission Editor section, but it fits here better. Grass Airfield, if it's just meant to be like FARP (just an area to land) could be expanded that it includes the support services, some kind of a template could work as individual trucks could provide this service, instead of it being integrated and hidden, indestructible and not affected by gameplay. The GA could have some kind of flexibiliy that it would have ground dirt texturing (driven dirt spot) where those trucks are usually placed, if they get destroyed, you could restore that type of function to the GA if you drive another truck there (Combined Arms and/or future proofing), and you could even pull a truck out ofcourse if you need it somewhere else but then GA would lose that function. Like if a fuel truck is missing, those aircraft landed on GA wouldn't be able to refuel, if a supply truck is missing, they may not be able to rearm and/or repair It may not need to be truck specific spot, it may just be a differently textured area (kinda a parking lot) by the GA where to place anything, ofcourse only thing the GA will recognize anything extra is ignored and would function normally as on any other place on terrain. I would exempt aircraft from being affected by the "unarmed truck" proximity thing that's in place, otherwise GA's would be, and have this requirement because it's more realistic as aircraft are the main purpose of the sim still and having the truck like 500 meters away and still work feels cheating. For example you could place a mobile COMM HQ and the GA would gain basic ATC capabilities, you maybe place some kind of radar dish and the ATC would gain ability to provide heading and assistance. But all of this would probably be only WW2 related I presume right, so maybe some stuff is unreachable, but it's not like they didn't had ATC or radar dish in WW2.
