Hello, I have 2 questions.

Is there any way to see the ground radar elevation?

Also how useful is the radar elevation? Are you guys using it alot and so when and why?

Thx

Are you talking about on the HUD or on the radar screen?

On the screen there are altitude indicators that appear to the left and right along with a reference bar to demonstrate 100m. Works just like the HUD's altitude references.

Or do you mean HUD altitude as a readout of radar altitude not barometric?

Turn the knob to Akan, and turn the radar on you will see it on top of the radar screen.

When you are using A/A weapons you can see an indicator above the CI Radar Screen, indicating the elevation of radar antenna (see the image of Skyracer).

In other cases you can´t see anything informing about antenna position. On real aircraft, the pilot moves a rotating potentiometer with a detent in center position, so he knowns where the antenna is.

A trick you can use is rotate the weapon selector knob to a A/A weapon (IR-RB for example) to see the indicator, set the desired position and after that, reselect the A/G weapon you like. However, for A/G weapons the antenna is set automatically (in function of flight altitude and scan range) so normally you don’t need to change the elevation.

No, leave it in any A/G mode and it will be fine
