I need help with Russian - WW2 pilot dedication

Dear colleagues,

I appologize if this is off topic. I'm building a kit of La-5FN, and I would be extremely grateful if someone could be so kind to translate into English incription by V.I. Popkov on color profile of his aircraft from WW2.

(the picture is from a photobucket album that belongs to a member of a VVS modeling forum, I can read Cyrillic, but I'm having hard time with handwritting and therefore cannot even gues what it means, apart from the part that this is the aircraft that he flew in WW2, from 1943 to the end?).
