Tvrdi Posted December 27, 2018 Posted December 27, 2018 Hi all, I would like to get those pedals but my friend told me the springs are loud (he onws them). CAM can be also loud unless I invert the CAM but springs are always loud. I dont want to make any super modding of the NEW pedals. I know I can apply shrink tube to the springs though doing anything to the new high end pedals feels kinda over the edge....Im kinda over the edge now with buying pedals...MFGs are too unconvinient for my desktop office chair and desk and I have my gaming PC in the living room so no room for cockpit setup.....Now I have CH pedals and like them but they are not very precise...
SVgamer72 Posted December 27, 2018 Posted December 27, 2018 I went from CH to VKB Mk4 to MFG, and you won't be sorry upgrading. I hear spring noise from both the VKB and MFG, but it is not that loud. It is just the sound of springs being stretched and returning. I am sure you could stuff foame or something into the center to dampen the small amount of noise they make. I can't imagine you need to do more than that.
Tvrdi Posted December 28, 2018 Author Posted December 28, 2018 Well if very loud CH pedals arent a problem for my kids sleepin nearby then I would be ok with VKBs. I heard they are very precise what I need for aiming. And I dont have room nor cockpit setup for MFGs.
Sokol1_br Posted December 28, 2018 Posted December 28, 2018 (edited) The noise in T-Rudder is caused by spring rings friction against fixation hook points, that have straight corners. I fix this "kiiick, kiiick" in this way: But just try applying metal grease in spring hooks, and spring coils. Edited December 28, 2018 by Sokol1_br
Blatherman Posted December 30, 2018 Posted December 30, 2018 To be honest, mine are completely silent. The only sound I hear is when I hit the stops when pressing them.
