If you start Instant action - C101 - Ground attack mission, the plane is uncontrolable and crashes. :joystick:

Breaks to the left all the time and then stalls.

Get also stall warnings on the ground in other missions.

(The Hawk had this issue also before.)

Also the plane looks very underpowered after the update.

Which map are you talking about? I just tried all four variants and didn't have an issue.

Although Caucasus drops you pretty low inside a valley which is a little exciting. :)

Specs:

No issues here with the ground attack mission. Maybe check your controls config. The stall warning on the ground is likely due to tail wind. In real life, the aircraft is not supposed to be started in a tail wind but this becomes problematic in DCS. The developers have put in a fix which will be available in the next patch. As for the under-powered, the old flight model was probably quite unrealistic in how powerful the engines were so that's partly why the new flight model engines seem under-powered. That being said, apparently there is a Manual Power Reserve mode which is activated by the crank position on the starter mode selector switch. It's supposed to give an extra 400 lbs of thrust.

Hi all,

Thanks for the extra information.

I am talking about the Caucasus winter map.

Yes it drops me pretty low inside a valley which is a little exciting but also almost direct uncontrolable.

If I start this scenario, I give already full Throttle but the plane is breaking out directly at the start to the left.

I already remaped and recalibrated my joysticks on all axis but that did not resolved the issue.

I find the flight model a little bit sloppy, fly a half roll upside down and back and see what i mean.

I think it stil must be a little bit tuned, because it look not realistic to me for a trainer aircraft.

A trainer should fly better then for example a Mirage 2000 or an other fighter.:pilotfly:

I will try the extra 400 lbs of thrust.

Tried the mission again and don't have any issues. The plane flies straight. Do you have any mods installed that might cause an issue? Maybe try a DCS repair? Or create a simple free flight mission and see if it acts up. But I think it is something on your end.

For the flight model, I guess you're talking about how it oscillates out of the half roll? I can't really comment there but I don't know if you can do comparisons with fly-by-wire aircraft with advanced dampening. Just my take. I really know nothing.

I will test a little bit more, after the last update I had problems so it could be the cause.

Yes the fuselage swings from left to right several times.

I dont think that that is normal behavior.

Trainer aircraft should be (more) stable for training flights.

Best regards Grippen7.
