I like realism and in some cases a fog of war. But these game issues aren’t present IRL. You don’t choose an aircraft and spawn in to real life. The real world doesn’t have game balance to consider.

Some aircraft like the A-10 don’t have this. And the most simple realistic way to IFF is to just identify the aircraft visually. Again IRL there are only very rare instances of opposing sides flying identical aircraft whereas in DCS (a game) this happens more often.
