I was recently making a mission for myself and a friend, Idea was to spawn on a airbase in Spitfires and try to ward off waves of 109s coming in, progressively harder. I decided to give the mission a trial run and wondered what the 109s would do if they got to the airbase while we were on the ground re-arming or repairing from a previous sortie. They dived in for a strafing run which looked good, but to my surprise instead of pulling out of the dive at the last second they just plow into the ground. :megalol:

Intrigued, I decided to try a few different aircraft types and see what happened. It seems that most of aircraft, if their mission type is set to "Fighter Sweep" will indeed crash into the ground while strafing landed aircraft. I didn't test all aircraft but most of them I tested behaved this way. One notable exception is the F-18 which did strafing runs but didn't hit the ground. With the F-86 and F-5 the lead pilot would hit the ground but the wingman would just do normal strafing runs. Anyway. I've attached a couple of tracks with the my Me-109 experience.

I'm flying the beta btw.
