grant977
What is the maximum wind over the deck speed for recovery?
AG-51_Razor
Ive Never heard of a MAX wind but the optimum wind is 31 knots. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

MooneyTail
There is no written MAX wind over deck, but if winds are too high, aircraft probably won't go flying to begin with due to weather or safety consideration of deck crew. There are other factors to consider though in higher than optimal wind conditions. As winds reach around 35+KTS over deck, they will generally change the lens to a 4.0 degree basic angle and over 40+KTS they will more than likely have Hornets fly their approaches at half flaps. Lex Talionis
25-30 per LSO school (lso natops chpt 6.6.6 Recovery Headwind Requirements). Where 25 is taught as optimum across the board. Each aircraft does have independent minimums. Except (i think) the COD where it literally states "25 kts" as a NATOPS limit. Having the boat steam 25 kts in the game seams to work best. Any less, typically used hornet numbers don't seam to work, any faster and the planes seam to slide around to where it is unmanageable. Hope this helps.:) Edited January 29, 2019 by Lex Talionis Find us on Discord. https://discord.gg/td9qeqg
