flappybird Posted February 2, 2019 Posted February 2, 2019 (edited) Update: Solved by spiddx See below! I seem to have a phantom rudder issue while using brakes on taxi\takeoff. The only rudder inputs I apply in video are at the very beginning as I test control surfaces and brakes, not when rolling. Using keyboard in this video for rudder, throttle and brakes. Video link: Rudder moves erratically on its own while taxiing\takeoff and applying differential brakes. Happens when I brake while rolling. Rudder behaves normally once airborne and does not snap around. I unplugged all controllers\pedals just using one joystick without twist or throttle. Currently using DCS Beta version: 2.5.4.26825 Is this a bug or am I the bug? Thoughts? Edited February 2, 2019 by flappybird Issue Solved
spiddx Posted February 2, 2019 Posted February 2, 2019 Did you turn off takeoff assist/auto rudder in the options? Specs: i9 10900K @ 5.1 GHz, EVGA GTX 1080Ti, MSI Z490 MEG Godlike, 32GB DDR4 @ 3600, Win 10, Samsung S34E790C, Vive, TIR5, 10cm extended Warthog on WarBRD, Crosswinds
flappybird Posted February 2, 2019 Author Posted February 2, 2019 (edited) Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! That solved it. I would never have thought that this would be an option LOL OMG! :0) Why did they turn this on by default aaahhhhh! LOL Working video! Edited February 2, 2019 by flappybird
spiddx Posted February 2, 2019 Posted February 2, 2019 I guess it's meant to help newcomers, but IMO the implementation of this is rather distracting and not very helpful. It's the first thing I turn off whenever I get a new prop plane and I know I'm not the only one. ;) Have fun!
