[NOT A BUG] Radar Altimeter "red light" won't dim

Just what it says, at night, when at or below selected altitude, the red indicator light is significantly brighter than all other lighting. nite mode nor NVG mode switch positions effect it. also, the AOA dimming rheostat doesn't seem to be very effective either.
