aimmaverick Posted July 26, 2007 Posted July 26, 2007 Will there be any improvements to SAMs regarding multitarget engagement in BS? For example Ticonderoga cruiser can only engage 2 targets at a time while IRL its close to 20. Why not model it accordingly? Right now even strategic sites are sitting ducks against any larger attack.
adi-Michael Posted July 26, 2007 Posted July 26, 2007 Hi Aimmaverick, if you had read the latest news you could see that all works is concentrated to these points : 1- Finishing on the Ka-50’s INS and INS alignment system 2- Finishing the caution detection and alert system of the Ka-50 3- Debugging some of the Shkval functions 4- Completing the new Mission Editor system 5- Completing the GUI for new campaign system 6- Tuning AI aircraft flight dynamics 7- Tuning AI aircraft and ground vehicle AI 8- Need to complete several new AI vehicles like the UH-60 and Mi-17 9- Complete modeling of new terrain to include higher resolution elevation matrix and terrain textures—needed for low altitude flight detail. 10- Adjusting network play to work with new Mission Editor functionality However if you watch the latest video of GA, you can see a different behavior of tanks and Heli during the action of war. They fire to whichever thing moves at the same time. I think that ED can model the behavior of the ships in the same way, but they need time..
