Mission Load Crash

Although I have been having this problem for a while I have finally gotten around to trying to fix it.

 

When I try to load any instant action mission or multiplayer (I have not tried campaigns but I assume they crash as well) I get about 20% of the load in and then my screen goes blank. Most of the time it eventually dumps back to my desktop. As far as I can tell this is the only time it has given me a crash log.

 

Graphics card and windows have been updated as of today.

 

I have tried searching for a similar crash but couldn't find one. :helpsmilie:

I would start with a clean up first, and then repair.

 

The quick and easy way is to download the two files found at the bottom of this DCS support page place then in the DCS World folder, unless you know how to use MS power shell / cmd commands seen on that same page.

Run these by double clicking on them

 

 

Also go to your saved game files and delete everything out of these folders

 

C:\Users\YOUR USER NAME\Saved Games\DCS\fxo

C:\Users\YOUR USER NAME\Saved Games\DCS\metashaders2

 

If still no go?

Rename the DCS folder in saved games, so DCS will create a brand new one. Keep the old as this has all you joystick and missions in it and can be copied back to the new one.

Pasted repair and cleanup into the root DCS World OpenBeta file, ran both and I'm still getting the crash issue. This is the crash log report:

You must also delete the 2 folders mentioned. Have you done that ?

 

If all goes wrong, wipe it and reinstall DCS from scratch.

 

*could also be your AV solution. Disable or deinstall may help.
