Radar and D/L

Hello! So the problem is as follows. Whenever i have the D/L on. If i see a target on radar and lock it. The radar is perfectly clear about where the target is. But the info displayed on Hud is like crazy. It does not give any info about the contact direction or range and it blinks as if he was no clear about the location of the target. So if i set D/L off, the display turns just fine. It place and lock the square into the enemy aircrat and tells the info of bearing and range just fine. So it seems that it has something to do with the D/L but im not sure what...i think it did not happen before. The most probable thing is that im doing something wrong but i think i'm sure i'm doing all as always, is there something new i missed about D/L?

A recent update added LTWS functionality. One TDC Depress will simply make the contact the L&S (Launch & Steering) target and mark it with a star (or if you already have an L&S contact, the second contact will be marked with a diamond and denoted by an X on the HUD).

 

If you observe the radar scope, you'll see that the beam still does full sweeps and thus the update rate is low. You cannot use this mode to support a missile launch. This mode is meant to help with situational awareness and simply reveals information about the contacts.

 

If you want to lock the target in STT, you need to depress the TDC again, on top of the L&S target and the radar will transition into STT. Or, in AA mode, Sensor Select Right, while the TDC is on top of the desired contact will immediately lock it up with STT.

 

If you want to disable the LTWS functionality, you can do so from the DATA subpage.

Thank you very much for your response. I can't find the ltws option though. Could you please be more specific on where to find this or what steps to follow?

bottom right of radar display press DATA (osb16) unbox LTWS by pressing osb15 press osb16 to return to main display.
