DCS FIGHTER PILOT Posted April 13, 2019 Posted April 13, 2019 I’m pretty sure that I have noticed that the AA missiles, particularly the Aim-120 and R-77, are tracking much more smoothly into their target. They are not maneuvering like crazy if the target is moving about. Is it just me or has the missile update finally been applied to other missiles than the aim-7, which got tweaked months ago.
AeriaGloria Posted April 13, 2019 Posted April 13, 2019 There was a R-77 APN guidance update around the time of the MiG-29 PFM release. I think it was in one of the change logs Black Shark Den Squadron Member: We are open to new recruits, click here to check us out or apply to join! https://blacksharkden.com
Gruw Posted April 13, 2019 Posted April 13, 2019 ...particularly the Aim-120 Yes, those tools need a lot of attention

Did a test shooting off AMRAAM from 20miles, hitting first MIG25 of the column in AIM-120 practice mission for F/A-18. I do NOT think it is placebo, something must have been done. Observed missile inflight tracking, it does NOT make stupid maneuver anymore which is quite interesting.
nighthawk2174 Posted April 14, 2019 Posted April 14, 2019 Yes they did add APN variables to the AIM120 and R77, no other guidance or drag fixes/corrections yet but it is step in the right direction. Still waiting on a lot of fixes though...
