I have a question is it normal that f-14 is that extrelmy loud at idle rpm ?? for example when i taxing and there is couple f-14s taxing around there is so much overwhelming noise extremly loud everwhere. i would say that idle sound is ridicolus loud

System specs: I7 14700KF, Gigabyte Z790 Aorus Elite, 64GB DDR4 3600MHz, Gigabyte RTX 4090,Win 11, 48" OLED LG TV + 42" LG LED monitor

Yes and no.

They've boosted the sound of the engines so that we can hear them better, but pilots of the actual thing have said that you couldn't even hear those over the sound of the air handlers. It was literally deafening without hearing protection.

i have feeling that engines in dcs of f-14 at idle are almost as loud as engines at military thrust at least i got that feeling.

thats one thing i quite disilke about DCS sounds levels one modules are bearly herable and another loud as hell i think jets fighters should have similar sound level at least what i think.

right now you can hear f-14 idling form 1000m like it is next to your ear i would love that ED would do some sound tweaking in that regard\

i belive that f-14 is loud i dont question that but sound levle balance between other modules. same thing was with harrier at begining this plane was loud like nothing in DCS existed alredy when harrier was idling nearby there was no way to hear anything else
