Question concerning Escort task

I've attempted to find this answer in the manual and online, but I can't seem to find it. It's probably here on the forum somewhere but no luck. Does anyone happen to know what happens if untick the last wpt option in the Escort Task? Will the escort fighters follow the plane(s) they are supposed to be protecting through their whole route? Or no?

I didn't try it. But I assume they will follow the plane(s) the whole route if you untick the last waypoint.

If you untick the 'last waypoint' box, the escorting group follows the escorted group until the escorted group starts their landing sequence.
