dores893 Posted April 29, 2019 Posted April 29, 2019 (edited) Several of my friends on a reputable multiplayer server, including myself, are having bad experiences with the AGM-88C in our Hornets after the update. The HARMS are lofting up to 42,000 feet and then flying in a straight line until they run out of energy and crash. I set up a test range with a mix of SA-8, SA-19, and SA-6s to see if I could hit anything in either TOO or SP mode. The HAARMs followed the exact same behavior...lofting way up and then crashing regardless of proximity or angle to target. The seekers were working correctly on the HAARMs a few weeks ago. If this isn't already a known issue, I wanted to bring it to the attention of the community. I also encourage you to re-create the issue on your server or single player and see if you have similar results. Thanks, Jimmy "Rattler" Helton Edited April 29, 2019 by dores893
Harker Posted April 29, 2019 Posted April 29, 2019 HARMs have been kinda broken since the previous update, it's known. But your problem is far worse than mine, mine are simply inconsistent about their targets (if there are multiple radars in one area, the missile often doesn't go to the one I specified), but overall, I still hit stuff. dores893 Posted April 29, 2019 Author Posted April 29, 2019 I think it is normal for the HAARM to lock on to the strongest radiation source, but I used to be able to take out SAMs without issue. Now it is if the seeker is turned off. I've literally seen it fly straight at an SA-8 (the direction of my momentum), only to turn and fly straight up. My AMRAAMs don't even loft to 42,000 feet.
