p-51's carb include 4 position manual mixture control even in dcs we have visible 4 dots between run position and emergency so we missing some stuff here

Reference the Manuel pg. 83

 

“MIXTURE CONTROL LEVER. The Mixture Control lever is used to set the fuel/air mixture. On “EALIER” aircraft, the lever has four possible positions: IDLE CUTOFF, AUTO LEAN, AUTO RICH, and FULL RICH. On “LATER” aircraft, the AUTO LEAN and AUTO RICH positions have been replaced by a single RUN position”. This is a later D modal Mustang

im not referign to idle cutoff auto lean/rich emergency. carb had 4 position manual control out of automatic range

on the screenshot you can see small black dots between run position and emergency looks like index for this 4 manual positions for me

There is no "extra" positions. The lever switches calibrated holes at dial disk (or no hole for cutoff position) for AUTO LEAN and AUTO RICH and discards automatic mixture control in EMER RICH.

so those 4 dots are just simple coincidence ??

someone just did that for no purpose ??

very fishy for me :P

btw since we are in mixture control topic how dcs model emergency rich position ??
