Hi!

I am trying to understand how the JTAC works on different aircraft...

As for now, i can get it to work in the AV8B for Laser Guided Mavericks, but when i switch to Laser Guided Bombs like GBU-12, the JTAC doesnt answer after "Ready to copy remarks" and get stuck?!?!!

Any ideas?? He correctly tells me the target info, "marked by Laser, Laser Code 1168, blabla" and everything, but then...stop!

I realised that sometimes i have to EXACTLY define the munition type to expect for JTAC, AND if i carry a TPOD, it wont work, either?!?!

Maybe someone has a guide for combinations that work, cause i am getting a little frustrated here :(

Or is it bugged???

This is how i create a basic JTAC mission with the F-5E A-10 etc without tpod or other pods.

To use Tpod on Harrier requires looking at the manual.

1. Create CAS mission With desired aircraft.

2. Put Hummvee TOW only down in enemy territory.

Then do the following.

Put targets down nearby Hummvee TOW. For noobs put down somewhere near an airfield or location that you can roughly see it.

Make sure its laser has line of sight.

Then selecting advance waypoints for Hummvee TOW as follows in order.

1. EPLRS on.

2. Go invisible.

3. ROE = Weapon hold. Even though it is invisible and wont get shot. It seems to need this to fire laser.

4. FAC and assign group, Weapon as Auto then for guided bombs use laser designation. Then

5. Click on your aircraft and make sure Radio frequency in aircraft is set same as the FAC ie 133 AM or 131 AM. Set it in advanced waypoints section.

6. Make sure Target is defined as new group 001 not new group 002 etc. (Important as re editing mission can change group numbers later edits).

Last 2 JTAC calls will be to Confirm IP inbound THEN you confirm THEN laser on by confirming that.

Finally make sure bombs armed and ready.

its been awhile since ive done this. So any other people with better ideas use them.
