Taslehoff Posted May 8, 2019 Posted May 8, 2019 Hi My mate is a British Army Vet who has to spend a lot of time laying down. Is there a way to change the orientation to allow for this when playing DCS in VR? The problem is when he looks down at the instruments his chin is on his chest. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Knock-Knock Posted May 8, 2019 Posted May 8, 2019 Cant save any VR orientation in DCS, as in snap views (only position). But can tilt the head up/down/left/right and recenter (VR recenter key binding under UI-Layer), until in a comfortable position or angle. - Jack of many DCS modules, master of none. - Personal wishlist: F-15A, F-4S Phantom II, JAS 39A Gripen, SAAB 35 Draken, F-104 Starfighter, Panavia Tornado IDS. | Windows 11 | i5-12400 | 64Gb DDR4 | RTX 3080 | 2x M.2 | 27" 1440p | Rift CV1 | Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS | MFG Crosswind pedals |
Knock-Knock Posted May 8, 2019 Posted May 8, 2019 Hmm, just in flying VR myself atm, and to my surprise, what I wrote is not entirely accurate. It works in yaw (left/right), but not in pitch (up/down). - Jack of many DCS modules, master of none. - Personal wishlist: F-15A, F-4S Phantom II, JAS 39A Gripen, SAAB 35 Draken, F-104 Starfighter, Panavia Tornado IDS. | Windows 11 | i5-12400 | 64Gb DDR4 | RTX 3080 | 2x M.2 | 27" 1440p | Rift CV1 | Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS | MFG Crosswind pedals |
Taslehoff Posted May 8, 2019 Author Posted May 8, 2019 Hi Funny you should reply just as I was speaking to him. I might try contacting Vive UK and see if they can suggest anything. VR is such a good way for someone who is bed bound to see and experience other places or things.
