xvii-Dietrich Posted May 18, 2019 Posted May 18, 2019 I suspect with the use of the FW 190 A-8/F-8 on the Eastern and Western fronts, the liveries will be a mix of dirt-snow and forest-green. But could we also get something yellow-brown? Although the FW190 A-8 / F-8 never flew over Afrika (at least as far as I can tell), could we nevertheless have an "official livery" with desert colours. Do mark it as "fictional" of course, but having something with desert-tan would let us use it for some Desert War, Sicily, Malta, Italy mock-ups on the NTTR and SoH maps... and any new WWII map that *might* be in the Mediterranean? While I appreciate that we can always make skin mods, having an official livery will let it be used on MP-servers. Perhaps using an A-4 or A-5 as a prototype might work. Both II./JG2 and III/SKG10 used these in the Mediterranean theatre. Ala13_ManOWar Posted May 18, 2019 Posted May 18, 2019 Not really green. Standard LW camouflage for this A/C is the 1941 RLM 74/75/76, so grey mostly with different kind of mottled sides pattern. Although of course late war cammo in RLM 81/82 would make it sort of green instead of grey, but not the Eastern front Jg54 green I believe you're thinking in. Anyway, IIRC A-8 didn't make it to North Africa before German defeat in that front but some aircraft were meant to be sent there and ended operating in Sicily and Italy with the cammo already applied. They are well known BTW, and not fictional whatsoever. Actually F-8 but externally hard to tell the difference with regular A-8 if not a good detail pic, and we're getting the F-8 anyway. S!
