NEODARK Posted September 7, 2007 Posted September 7, 2007 Looks like another one went down today :( I'm supposed to be there tomorrow, who knows if the show is still on or not, but no info is given about the pilot's condition. The show seems to be on for now, but the crah just haoppened. It seems all the main media outlets have yet to pick this up, hope the pilot is ok :( http://www.wvec.com/news/vabeach/stories/wvec_local_090707_oceana_crash_.aed0a1d2.html

Trident Posted September 8, 2007 Posted September 8, 2007 Unlucky airshow season this year. The Blue Angels, the Snowbirds, the recent crash in Poland and now yet another accident. Sad news :( I suppose the only consolation is that there have been no fatalities on the ground ("only" a few injuries in the case of the Blue Angels crash) in any of these tragedies, IIRC. I sure hope we've had our share for 2007 now :(
Hellcat61 Posted September 8, 2007 Posted September 8, 2007 Very sad news. I always enjoy the Skytypers when I visit VA Beach. Oceana is a Naval Air Station btw. If a Navy guy saw the "AFB", he would probably take offense. "When you're out of Tomcats, you're out of fighters!"
