TWC_SLAG Posted June 1, 2019 Posted June 1, 2019 Got an O+, WMD popped up on the monitor and says the computer is fine except for "USB 3.0+. My computer has USB 3.0. Is 3.1 required? I'm using a 10 port USB extension, but plugged the O+ plug directly into an empty USB outlet on the computer back. Thick8 Posted June 1, 2019 Posted June 1, 2019 (edited) Go into device manager. Open the usb serial bus controller drop down. After each controller in should say something like 1.0 (Microsoft). If not, then update the drivers with a right click and select update driver. TWC_SLAG Posted June 1, 2019 Author Posted June 1, 2019 (edited) Go into device manager. Open the usb serial bus controller drop down. After each controller in should say something like 1.0 (Microsoft). If not, then update the drivers with a right click and select update driver. Did that. In each case, the installed driver was said to be the best one. I still have a "X" for the USB, instead of a check mark. Played around (switched some USB plugs), and got it working. The_Nephilim Posted June 1, 2019 Posted June 1, 2019 Yes for this you need to use the Generic Microsoft version vs the board version.. you just uninstall the asmedia controller and driver and rescan hardware and it should install the Microsoft generic driver.. but you got it working so that is good just left this here for future reference..
