Hi all,

A small issue I'm having with trying to setup a dedicated server (beta) using DynDNS. So server works fine and reads external IP correctly. In order to avoid any complications when my IP is dynamically reassigned (external), I'd like to use DynDNS and point everybody to a domain name not an IP. Is there a line in autoexec.cfg I can use to specify the domain name of the server?

Thanks

sadly there is not :-(

That's a bummer, so basically, if you are hosting your own DCS dedicated server and you don't have a static IP provided by your ISP, every time your gateway establishes a new connection (re-assigns your public IP) your DCS server becomes unavailable.... I suppose you could write something to amend your server config file every time or just restart the server on public IP change.....

I think this was a feature request a while ago that you could use name or IP in the connection box
