Nunatak Posted June 4, 2019 Posted June 4, 2019 (edited) It's widely known in software development, that spliting your team between too many different tasks and projects makes it less efficient. As well as for the testers, that need to know more and more different types of airplanes in detail to do the required tests. ED is probably not adding a whole new team with every aircraft they start to develop, so they have to shift people from older projects to newer ones. Adding functionality and fixing bugs from project you haven't worked for a while takes more time to get into the old code. Edited June 4, 2019 by Nunatak
CallsignFrosty Posted June 4, 2019 Posted June 4, 2019 Oh so ED should postpone the release of the A-8 module, so that we could receive a weapon for the Hornet? You do realize that this changes nothing... NOTHING! Your final part of the Hornet will still arrive at given time in the future, no matter if the JSOW received testing prio or not. Just because the testing phase is delayed doesnt mean that the entire Hornet program is sliding, cause the programmers on the Hornet are still doing their thing - like finishing the remaining JSOW features. They arent idling waiting for the testers to finish testing the JSOW. So no, sorry. I cant see it, cause there is nothing to see. Nothing is changed. Damn, that bold text really showed me. The change has already taken place. It has delayed features and updates for the F/A-18C - which is the entire premise of this discussion. It has happened and that's why we are having this chat. Maybe stick to Netflix and stay in your lane.
