Logitech X-56 SLD thumb switch on throttle isn't a slider?

 

 

When you slide it all the way forward so it clicks it's a latched button [hold down] when all the way backward it clicks but there isn't a command capability to do anything.

 

 

Any idea what this is?

edit: only in VR am I unable to click on the menu
