PSYKOnz Posted June 7, 2019 Posted June 7, 2019 Hi guys I’ve been looking for clarification on this, I’ve looked everywhere on the forums but all I could find was this... https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=237326&highlight=Ecm+xmit And this dose not answer my question. My question is, while using the jester menu how do i know what mode the ecm is in, how do I set it properly and how can I tell what mode it’s in (without jumping to the rio seat) Tomcat, Tomcat über allen
iceman14555 Posted June 8, 2019 Posted June 8, 2019 (edited) As far as I know the F14 ECM suite consists of your jammer, rwr, and electronic chaff/flare dispensers. As far as a mode, well your RWR can filter different signals. Your jammer from what i've seen only has an on or off mode though. Also here is a website to help with the equipment: http://www.anft.net/f-14/f14-detail-ecmfairings.htm If you're talking about dispenser modes, there is auto and manual, Jester can control them. I've not dug too deep into the programs though. The center of the Jester wheel will tell you what program you have set under countermeasures. The countermeasure jester menu will allow you to set them up. Edited June 8, 2019 by iceman14555
PSYKOnz Posted June 8, 2019 Author Posted June 8, 2019 (edited) That’s awesome thank you! Especially for the link I’m looking for a bit more clarification in regards knowing when the ecm jammer is on or not There doesn’t seem to be a “jammer on” notification in the centre of the wheel. So with out going to the rio seat how do I tell if it’s on, eg... Is it on when the text says “set jammer standby” or is it on when it reads “set jammer xmit”? As far as I can tell this is the only notification you get as to the ecm status in the drivers seat Also, what does each mode do, is sandby mode off but turns on when needed or is that xmit? Or does xmit mean it’s always jamming? Edited June 8, 2019 by PSYKOnz Tomcat, Tomcat über allen

Xmit mean it's on and it is currently jamming and interfering incoming radio signals. Beware that it also lights up on radars that are propably not scanning you.
