Slew Axis on the control indicator. Mostly for trouble shooting. I see some modules have erratic behaviors, but it's hard to tell if its input signal issues or just buggy performance on the module side. Or mission related.

Windows should be able to show you the axis inputs in USB Game Controllers

Yes, but tough to see and compare if in VR. The Windows controller setup window keeps dropping behind my game even when I'm not in VR.

I like that Control indicator. It really helps when I' trying to determine weather there's a problem with the hardware or the software.

I would calibrate any axis controller in Windows before launching the game.

Which aircraft slew? Usually you can see it’s cursor directly on the radar or MFD screen

I never thought of that.

So once you have it calibrated in Windows there’s no need to see that screen in game.

In DCS you can see the slew directly on the MFD, HDD or whatever and then adjust it in the response menu.

I think the control indicator overlay is for training videos and such. The slew cursor can be seen already without an overlay.

But this is my wish. Maybe your wish is for me not to get my wish, but this is my wish list thread. Go get your own and stop trolling me.

Sorry. I’m not intending to troll but to give some advice. What you are needing to do is basically already available.

I know it's not your exact wish, but just a suggestion for now:

You can see each axis (separately) in good detail in the "axis tune" menu in the control settings.

It has helped me debug a jittery controller in the past, and shows exactly what DCS is seeing.
