Yesterday, I changed the soft springs on the WarBRD base for the hard springs. It was not that difficult after watching the video so if you are concerned about it, I would give it a shot. Just have a needle nose pliers with you and watch the video first.

 

 

 

I am using the WH grip and the harder springs are perfect with that grip.

 

 

 

My next project is getting up the nerve to try the extra set of cams that came with the base. This appears to be significantly more difficult to do than just changing the springs.

I did the same: Warthog grip on standard WarBRD base and the gimbal flopped around a little. So over the weekend swapped out the springs in the base for firmer ones... 10 mins, most of it spent looking for the correct hex keys. Once open the spring change was fairly easy.

 

Strong springs offer correct resistance for the weight of the Warthog grip: happy with it.
