Mission 1 Aligned HUD Altitude

I was playing the Mission 1 today and during the alignment I entered the 466M is the left window and the altitude in the HUD showed -280. I remembered the left was for feet. I restarted the mission and then entered it in the right window and it stilled aligned to -280. The third time I did nothing since 466 was already in the right window and still the HUD still showed -280. Did I miss something, is this a bug, or something else?

 

Everything else seemed fine and I fully completed the mission.

 

I am running Open Beta 2.5.5.33184.

The HUD displays the barometric altitude, that is different from the INS altitude.

 

To change the baro alt you need to use the altimeter wheel.

 

INS altitude is only useful for target coordiates.
