IIRC, they actually planned on releasing it september 24, 2006 (last year) but they ran into some troubles so they couldn't make the deadline. Then when Red Viper came out, which pushed the direct x engine from 6.0 to 7.0, the SAAFOPS team talked with the Free Falcon team and wanted to do something similar. So i suppose that's why it has been delayed for so long since they are basically revamping the entire game engine. If you post this over at Frugals, you would probably get a better answer though.
