Eira Posted August 4, 2019 Posted August 4, 2019 Hihi. Relative new to DCS (read a month or two of faffing around). Been playing the hornet alot, but my amusement is from the viggen. ITs a lovely plane, tempermental, but lovely. I unno, I am in absolute love with it. Problem is, I'm not sure what all I need to bind to what. Anyone got a loadout they use for it, on the t16000m? I have all parts (throttle, pedals and stick) of it.. so no worries there. Now that I understand how the crude of how to fly, I'm wanna start figuring weapons.. starting with the ship bombs. Swear I need a notepad or 2 on my desk for reference :D

Eira Posted August 5, 2019 Author Posted August 5, 2019 thx for that. That is incredibly usefull (makes note to add kneeboard command to something). Was just wondering, like, a suggested layout for buttons.. or if someone already had a layout file they could share. I tried googling, but, well, found only one.. sparse limited thing. Been watching a few youtubes, trying to make my own, just always get confused.
Ibis Posted August 5, 2019 Posted August 5, 2019 It's great aircraft once you get the hang of it. It uses symbols which reduces the clutter on the HUD found on other later fighters. Once learned it's a lot easier to understand than the clutter. Just my opinion of coarse. Have fun.
TomCatGoad Posted August 5, 2019 Posted August 5, 2019 (edited) I love the viggen, I don't actually have much bound to my stick and throttle. Just the essentials, then some other bits still on the keyboard. Although I like actually using alot of the cockpit switches. Weapons in the viggen are a little different and confusing at first, but once you try them a couple of times your realize how simple it is. If your looking for someone to fly with I fly the viggen alot with some friends (were EU based GMT time zone) and I'm always excited to see more viggens in the air. Edit: Had a think about what I have mapped, TV, T0 and T1 are very important as is radar slew. Edited August 5, 2019 by TomCatGoad
LastRifleRound Posted August 7, 2019 Posted August 7, 2019 Have you seen the chuck's guide? I always use that as a jumping off point to see what I should bind. I used that exactly, plus a binding for slow zoom in/slow zoom out (I do this for every aircraft even though I have trackIR I find it helps alot). I have a two-stage trigger so the only thing I changed was allowing the first stage to be "Trigger Safe (Hold)" and the second stage to be "weapon release".
