Rolim Posted September 30, 2007 Posted September 30, 2007 If you just reinstall the game (or even the OS) but don't change any hardware, it will still ask for you to activate again (manually or auto) and you will use another key if you so. The only way not to use another key, which is what I always do, is to use registry saving utility ED provided and add the saved registry straight after you install the game. Only if you do a major hardware change/upgrade or install the game on different PC you won't be able to use the saved registry and will have to use up new activation key. I made a new partition and physical formated my HD's. Re-instaled the same OS. Even with "Save Registry" I need to reactivate. It happened twice (that damn virus...:(). I believe this occured because the name of the HD's were changed.
