Falcon7a Posted August 31, 2019 Posted August 31, 2019 Hi guys, When launching DCS in Steam, I get a few options for VR launch. The option for launching DCS in Steam VR gives me good performance. However, the option for launching in DCS VR in 2.5 gives rather poor results with some micro stuttering. Is this normal? Can someone tell me what the difference between the launch options is? Thanks a bunch!
Falcon7a Posted September 6, 2019 Author Posted September 6, 2019 Anyone? Am I not getting the benefits of DCS 2.5 if I choose the 'Launch DCS in Steam' option? Thanks!
Supmua Posted September 6, 2019 Posted September 6, 2019 I'm not sure you should see any performance difference between the two. In either case, you're still going have have Steam and SteamVR frameworks running in the background. But I do not have the Steam version, so I can't really test this. I did manually add DCS to my Steam library since sometimes I would launch it from inside SteamVR Home after playing other games, and didn't notice any change in performance.
