RIO g-tollerance - blacking out too soon

My apologies if this has been brought up before, but I recently RIO'd in the Folds of Honor gun tournament, and spent 1/2 the flight blacked out. Pilot was fine, but when the turning got real heavy, i just stared at a black screen and hoped the next thing i didn't see was a fireball.

 

Anyway, I don't RIO often, I was really just there because he needed a 2nd set of eyeballs to keep track after the merge, but I thought I'd bring it up. The g-tollerance of the RIO is a joke.

I think the problem is the pilot, its almost impossible to black out (during non extreme maneuvers).

 

 

But yes, there's a discrepancy between the G tolerance of the pilot and the RIO.
