Weegie Posted September 15, 2019 Posted September 15, 2019 I sometimes run an Open Beta Dedicatid Server for myself and some friends whose hardware is a bit limited and stops them going into regular public servers Unless I've got it wrong it seemed that wake turbulence wasn't available, it's not in the OB Dedicated Server as an option however my machine (essentially a client on my own server) had the option enabled but it didn't seem to manifest itself. So I was wondering if it's just completley disabled in al of the Open Beta Servers or am I missing something?
Emmy Posted September 16, 2019 Posted September 16, 2019 I believe it’s a client-side setting only right now. So if you want everyone to experience it, everyone has to enable it locally. Grimes Posted September 16, 2019 Posted September 16, 2019 It can be forced on/off from the mission file. Whatever it gets set to for the server server settings itself doesn't seem to matter for wake turbulence. It does for other options though, so I'm not really sure which settings take precedence or not. Basically you need to change settings in the serverSettings.lua and options.lua. Weegie Posted September 16, 2019 Author Posted September 16, 2019 (edited) Ahh that maybe it then I was running an older mission Understand about lua files but that's about it. I'll need to search to find where the serverSettings and options luas reside Thanks for the information Edited September 16, 2019 by Weegie
Grimes Posted September 16, 2019 Posted September 16, 2019 Saved Games\<DCS>\Config It can be DCS.openbeta or really anything if you customized it. But it is the saved games location where all of your controls, missions, screenshots, etc get saved to. The right man in the wrong place makes all the difference in the world.
