JG4_Sputnik Posted September 26, 2019 Posted September 26, 2019 Hi I have set a weird value to the IPD settings by mistake and now my view in DCS is so distorted that I can't see anything at all... Is there a way I could reset that value via a config file or something?? Thanks for your help, I don't want to re install just because of that...
Sn8ke_iis Posted September 26, 2019 Posted September 26, 2019 You can manually edit the options.lua file in a text editor or just delete it. That should reset all the graphics options. In the text editor you could turn the VR setting from "true" to "false" and then use your 2d screen like normal to change any settings. It's a lot of code syntax but it's not too difficult to read.
JG4_Sputnik Posted September 26, 2019 Author Posted September 26, 2019 Ok I found a workaround thanks Sn8ke
Sn8ke_iis Posted September 26, 2019 Posted September 26, 2019 That will come in handy actually. That's way more convenient than what I suggested. I've had the same issue where I don't want to spend too much time reading text in VR.
Rok57 Posted October 26, 2019 Posted October 26, 2019 I just did the same exact thing. I accidentally set my IPD to a large number trying to edit it. I found this thread by googling "DCS IPD large value" and easily fixed it using the "true to false" thing. Editing the shortcut target wasn't working for me. I am so appreciative for this thread and all you geniuses for getting me back in the game. I commit to leaving IPD alone. Many Thanks. Rok57
