30mikemike Posted October 6, 2019 Posted October 6, 2019 Hi guys, I'm hoping someone can help me... Is anyone else getting textures rendering late when in VR (I'm using a Rift S)? This is happening on Caucasus when at high altitudes. When looking down from say left to right it's like the scenery loading can't keep up. It's bugging the hell out of me and I'm sure this wasn't happening a couple of months or so ago. I've tried all sorts, pre load radius, visibility range etc etc but still the same! I'm getting to the point now where I'm even thinking of going back to Track IR! Thanks guys..... i7 8700k @ 5.0ghz. Strix GTX1080Ti. 32GB RAM @ 3600. 2x Hyper X SSD’s with DCS on one. Oculus Rift S. Asus PG278-QR. Liquid Series PC with liquid CPU and GPU cooling.
30mikemike Posted October 7, 2019 Author Posted October 7, 2019 (edited) Seems this issue is only on Caucasus, not Persian Gulf and haven't tried NTTR. Anyone else experiencing this?? *Does it on the monitor too without the Rift. Bug on Caucasus? Edited October 7, 2019 by 30mikemike i7 8700k @ 5.0ghz. fitness88 Posted October 8, 2019 Posted October 8, 2019 Sometimes deleting the metashaders2 files and allowing them to be rebuilt when you restart, clears up some issues like what you're describing. I have done it in the past with some good results. There are a couple of good posts about this try searching metashaders2 and metashaders. Good luck!

Tried the deleting of the two folders, FXO & Metashaders2. I do this quite often especially after updates but it’s made no difference to this particular issue. I notice you mention both metashaders & Metashaders2....I’ve only ever deleted the ‘2’. It can’t possibly be my system I don’t think, maybe a bug which probably the majority of people don’t notice. Thought it could be a RAM issue but I’d be surprised. i7 8700k @ 5.0ghz. Strix GTX1080Ti. 32GB RAM @ 3600. 2x Hyper X SSD’s with DCS on one. Oculus Rift S. Asus PG278-QR. 30mikemike Posted October 12, 2019 Author Posted October 12, 2019 I’m not sure if it’s anything to do with the latest update but this issue I’ve been having seems to have gone, well pretty much anyway. I noticed in the change log that it mentioned a VR render fix. Maybe that’s sorted it? BigNewy might be able to shed some light.... i7 8700k @ 5.0ghz.
