Kenan Posted October 7, 2019 Posted October 7, 2019 I was trying to engage (on multiple occasions) AI (Su-25T) from about 10 miles (and from higher altitude) and my missiles never hit. Apart from not having an Active Missile/Pitbull indicator, at those ranges, I assume the missile should already go active on its own..and it appears to be tracking..but it never hits the target. The only way I can knock the AI down is by sneaking behind them and launching from app. 5 miles range.. Am I doing something wrong here or is this something that needs to be fixed? Thanks. nighthawk2174 Posted October 8, 2019 Posted October 8, 2019 (edited) Lack of lift in short, lift across just about every missile (except for the AIM9's, AIM7's, and archer) has been significantly reduced due to oddities in the guidance and drag calculations for induced drag. Additionally the drag on many missiles is quite bad and significantly reduces their range as well. Edited October 8, 2019 by nighthawk2174
Fri13 Posted October 8, 2019 Posted October 8, 2019 I find most missiles to be unreliable when the target is flying at lower altitude. And especially if they are closer to surface they create a lot noise. It as well souls be easy to notch a missile radar. i7-8700k, 32GB 2666Mhz DDR4, 2x 2080S SLI 8GB, Oculus Rift S. i7-8700k, 16GB 2666Mhz DDR4, 1080Ti 11GB, 27" 4K, 65" HDR 4K.
