Craky2 Posted October 9, 2019 Posted October 9, 2019 Parking brake sets to anti-skid at around 70-75% RPM which seems to be a lot less than one inch past idle. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] "DDMF" "YGTBSM"
Craky2 Posted October 11, 2019 Author Posted October 11, 2019 Dont know if you're going for realistic or not. But IRL it goes off around 84-86% [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] "DDMF" "YGTBSM"
Bouli306 Posted October 11, 2019 Posted October 11, 2019 Dont know if you're going for realistic or not. But IRL it goes off around 84-86% Idle RPM is highly influencerd by temperature. That’s why it is stated as 1 inch above idle. Because in DCS everyones throttle is different this would be very hard to simulate.
Craky2 Posted October 11, 2019 Author Posted October 11, 2019 Makes sense, thanks sir. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] "DDMF" "YGTBSM"
Ala12Rv-watermanpc Posted May 14, 2020 Posted May 14, 2020 Idle RPM is highly influencerd by temperature. That’s why it is stated as 1 inch above idle. Because in DCS everyones throttle is different this would be very hard to simulate. But then which thing is the parking brake behaviour linked to? RPM, throttle position, thrust...? Independently of the temperature, RPM are RPM and if the brake is supposed to disconnect at about 85% RPM, why would it disconnect at different RPM? Take a look at my MODS here
mvsgas Posted May 14, 2020 Posted May 14, 2020 But then which thing is the parking brake behaviour linked to? RPM, throttle position, thrust...? Independently of the temperature, RPM are RPM and if the brake is supposed to disconnect at about 85% RPM, why would it disconnect at different RPM? It is link to the throttle position switch, So not RPM. Power lever angle is more precise, but inch movement forward from idle is good enough to explain it. To whom it may concern, I am an idiot, unfortunately for the world, I have a internet connection and a fondness for beer....apologies for that. Thank you for you patience. Many people don't want the truth, they want constant reassurance that whatever misconception/fallacies they believe in are true..
