Weegie Posted October 12, 2019 Posted October 12, 2019 I'm not sure if this is a bug or not I set my roll steering select to Left Shift R, then when I pressed it the mission immediatley reset I tried a different keybind and no problem so it's the key combination. Nothing in the Controls Input to indicate that Left Shift R should behave this way so I'm guessing it's a bug
Majik Posted October 12, 2019 Posted October 12, 2019 Not a bug, Left Shift R is the command to restart a mission in the General controls section. -
Weegie Posted October 12, 2019 Author Posted October 12, 2019 Ok I see it in the other modules and it's listed as Left Shift R. I assume if you change that keystroke in the other modules the mission would start with the newly assigned keybind However in the F-16C listings the Restart Mission is on the Keyboard list but it has no keystroke associated with it, so it should not restart the game on the default Left Shift R. I'm not making a huge deal of it, but if the command is not bound to any keybind it shouldn't be restarting the mission
Greyman Posted October 12, 2019 Posted October 12, 2019 There is, I'm afraid, a hierarchy of bindings and the general and UI layer bindings will always overrule the ones you make for your aircraft. You might get be able to change the general ones, but finding a different one for your aircraft might be a better idea.
Weegie Posted October 13, 2019 Author Posted October 13, 2019 Ok Thanks Greyman Guess that explains it then. I did as you suggested and just bound the switch to a different keybind
