GreenHornet Posted October 26, 2019 Author Posted October 26, 2019 Lets see how long you can keep insult someone...………………….
Ziptie Posted October 26, 2019 Posted October 26, 2019 (edited) OK , Finally something useful that make since without presuming that your a D_^^$ss I use waypoint designate all the time to navigate so that would make sense if that is causing it I'm going to go try it without using it at all and see what happens. I appreciate it and will report back thanks. A bit strong - I'd recommend to adjust that kind of statement.. Was that directed at me? If so, will probably adjust my expectations when trying to assist you in the future. There are many helpful people here on the forums, I try to be one of those. Thanks, I think that is the problem did not use waypoints select and I can drop several of the weapons I could not before so more than likely the same for the rest. So does know one ells use waypoints but me? What the? How everyone navigate? Again Thasnks No worries at all, happy to assist. Waypoint usage is not the issue, it's when you WYPTDSG (designate a waypoint). NOTE: Also this is probably something that should be released to stop further frustration from anyone who does any navigation in DCS... But I'm starting to think I'm the only one.. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=253374 Issue was already reported (check the bugs section for some additional information of things that are currently being investigated/addressed. By the Way all I asked was is the pickle button still broken? Since there wasn't actually an issue with the weapon release button, some might have been confused - hence why a moderator put that message in brackets - although it does seem a touch harsh, rather than their typical "cannot reproduce" response. Can anyone tell me how to contact the moderator to tell them to change the subject to waypoint designate may deactivate your pickle button Yes, you can private message BigNewy or NineLine. I sensed this kind of atmosphere form the start that's why I keep saying ill go somewhere ell to figure it out and never post hear or was always Leary to ever post hear Long story short why u involved when it's not your problem? Next time You tell me how to ask the question since you know better When reading things that people type, it's best to be as specific as possible - which might have been part of the confusion between yourself and whoever this was directed towards. And most likely they were trying to assist you, despite how it may or may not have seemed. Does anyone ells know that the pickle button is the weapons release button? Is that the confusion? It is called the weapon release button, but the brevity call when dropping an A/G bomb is "pickle." Magnum for a HARM, PIG for a JSOW and so on and so on. So yes, weapon release button is the correct terminology for it. GreenHornet Posted October 26, 2019 Author Posted October 26, 2019 This person has misrepresented me and is an inaccurate statement because I did not discover what this individual text and is incorrect. "Long story short, you asked the wrong question (the pickle button isn't the problem, as you discovered) causing confusion, especially since you gave exactly ZERO information for people to have any idea what the hell you're talking about." For future reference, when reporting issues or seeking help, you should avoid generic questions and try to provide specific details of what you're trying to do.

Press the "quote" icon/button when trying to respond to a specific person - it makes for much less confusion in who you are trying to directly reply to / communicate with an individual. What country are you playing in, if I might ask? munckmb Posted October 26, 2019 Posted October 26, 2019 From the manual: To use, fly to place the CCIP bombing cross over the intended target and hold the Weapon Release Button down (pickle button). A Displayed Impact Line (DIL) is also on the HUD between the CCIP bombing cross and the velocity vector. The pickle button must be held down until all bombs have been released as part of the program.
GreenHornet Posted October 26, 2019 Author Posted October 26, 2019 Dont ask for help I really think its best not to ask for help since I don't know how to talk like you do
Ziptie Posted October 26, 2019 Posted October 26, 2019 I really think its best not to ask for help since I don't know how to talk like you do No, that isn't correct at all. Asking for help not only has the opportunity to get information to you and possibly make the experience better and skill increase - but other members who have the same questions or run into the same issues, be able to sort out those issues as well. Frustration is there for many, myself included, when things don't go the way they should. I had some really frustrating times when the CCIP/AUTO/WYPTDSG issues arose over this last week. It is never fun when those moments happen, but they will happen within many games - especially an open beta format. Don't give up, and don't be afraid to ask questions - just try to do it in the right way and sometimes that requires experience as well. This could be considered one of those learning lessons. Good to go? GreenHornet Posted October 26, 2019 Author Posted October 26, 2019 Remember all I wanted to know if their was still any problems with the pickle button?
Ziptie Posted October 26, 2019 Posted October 26, 2019 Remember all I wanted to know if their was still any problems with the pickle button? I remember, and there was never - and is still currently no issue with the "pickle" button. There is an issue within the coding of the Hornet's systems, regarding the HSI / SA Page and designating a waypoint - when trying to employ A/G ordinance after selecting that OSB function on the aforementioned two systems of the aircraft. GreenHornet Posted October 26, 2019 Author Posted October 26, 2019 What button do you have to push to release air to ground ordinance/
Ziptie Posted October 26, 2019 Posted October 26, 2019 What button do you have to push? When the SA Page, or the HSI is being displayed on either the DDI or the AMPCD - it is labeled WYPTDSG. I do not recall the exact OSB button # (but should be second from the bottom on the right hand side of either display). If you press that, it has had an adverse effect on dropping weapons from the aircraft after that, even if you have undesignated. Some have reported that designating a target via the Litening pod also has the same negative effect - but have not personally experienced that. Ziptie Posted October 26, 2019 Posted October 26, 2019 What button do you have to push to release air to ground ordinance/ The weapon release button. You can search for it under the control setting for the Hornet to see what it is currently bound to, or to make a change to what you prefer. Make sure you are not using "game mode" in the main settings of DCS. Not sure how familiar or unfamiliar you are with it - but if you have "game mode" enabled, you won't be able to drop any ordinance (but sounded like you had successfully employed some types from the Hornet which is why it wasn't suggested earlier). Ziptie Posted October 26, 2019 Posted October 26, 2019 Again treating me like a !@@#$#$$%%% what ever u think Sir, I believe you are really interpreting things wrong. That member just literally laid out the exact way for you to find the weapon release button, within DCS, in the control settings menu. Was that really how you took that, as an insult? munckmb Posted October 26, 2019 Posted October 26, 2019 Again treating me like a !@@#$#$$%%% what ever u think Listen, I'm really just trying to help. Not trying to belittle you. However, you are behaving like my 5 year old boy who's not getting what he wants. Just like with him, I don't understand your reactions to people who try to help you. If you respond kind to people, they respond kind to you is, all I have left to say to you. Barry
