WIN10 "Game Mode" Stutter

Morning,

 

I know this one is an oldie but a significant "tick" had developed at what i assume are the points textures load. Normally this is very minor and almost unoticable but it had developed into a second long jerk.

 

Long story short - some windows update had switched "game mode" back on. I remember from years ago this being a bad thing and, assuming it still was, I switched it off.

 

Stutter gone (well significantly and pleasingly reduced to almost nothing). Ive tested it over about 5 hours on routes when i could predict where the stutter would occur so im pretty happy tht it was the cause in my case.

 

Anyhow not seen this anywhere else so i thought id post it in case it may help someone.
