Shadow_1stVFW Posted November 1, 2019 Posted November 1, 2019 All the autopilot modes can be overriden by enough force on the control stick or by depression of the autopilot emergency disengagement paddle, automatically resetting all autopilot switches to off. Quick question on the AFCS operation. Is switching the Autopilot switch from engaged to off supposed to also disengage the solenoids for all autopilot switches? I know, as quoted above, the autopilot disconnect will do this. But that leads be to believe maybe the autopilot switch would not. I don't know, asking for clarification. So to be clear, if I select autopilot engage with the switch, leaving me in attitude hold mode. And then I select say, ACL, but then disengage the autopilot switch (not the disconnect on the stick) should the rest of the autopilot switches return to their neutral positions? Viking_355th Posted November 1, 2019 Posted November 1, 2019 You can actually see what happens to the switches by looking at them. They're on the left.
Shadow_1stVFW Posted November 1, 2019 Author Posted November 1, 2019 I'm aware of that. I'm asking about the behavior of the switches. IronMike Posted November 3, 2019 Posted November 3, 2019 We're currently investigating that. The manual is written so that it leaves both options open.
