Just wondering.

I have a Mamba and when I got it a long time back I had some difficulty getting VKBDevConfig-C to work. Eventaully I suceeded, but after a while as I upgraded to newer versions of the software I could not get it to work after 0.77.2.0, either I could not get the firmware to load or I could not get VKBConfig to work.

Resigned myself to just using 0.77.2.0 and all was fine. Now after a long wait I got my hands on a MCG and had to upgrade the firmware and software. The versions recommended of firmware and software just would not work. After some help on the VKB forum I got different versions of VKBConfig and firmware recommended and eventually got the fimware installed.

Then VKBConfig worked, then it didn't, then it did for around a day now it doesn't at all.

So I just wondered out of idle curiosity if it's just me or do others find the software buggy?

I like the program and think it's great once the basics are mastered, but the fact that it throws up error after error and doesn't work for me most of the time is serious PIA.

That said I've now gone to programming it with Joystick Gremlin after putting a basic profile into the stick and it's all is good.

I really like VKB and their products but the software is just about a no go zone for me

I just wondered if others ever encountered problems or is it rock solid for everybody else?

I have Gladiator "Vanilla" and T-Rudder Mk.II, and have used DevCFG several times for firmware upgrade, profiles, hidden an change axes without any issues.

The detail is that for a given firmware only a given version of DevCFG can be used, and VKB Ftp is outdated (abandoned?), new versions of soft and firmware is hidden in someone personal page without much information about new functions and changes.

I only have not used the advanced functions of DevCfg for make custom buttons profiles, although GUI is relatively simple, the meaning of functions is very obscure.

Thank's Sokol

I'm begining to think there is a minor problem with my stick that prevents the software running correctly, which could possibly be fixed by a complete wipe and reload of the Firmware.

Right or wrong I think there is something rogue in the old firmware that's not been cleared and that's what's causing the problem, but there's not much I can really do about it.

It's not so bad as I've got Joystiick Gremlin up and running well with the stiick and it pretty much does all I need
