BlacleyCole Posted December 8, 2019 Posted December 8, 2019 Ok after almost a year not being able to work on the pit I’m working my way back. Part of it has to do with my blog. The rest I miss it I’m setting it up for the a-10c in vr I know almost anything works for vr. I’m going to have the warthog hotas and trp pedals and point ctrl for the non hotas bound stuff. This is the intial config and once I complete my training and get the parts from Rel4y for the cougar’s throttle and stick then I’ll swap out the throttle for f16c throoand put the rebuilt stick on a side mount and I’ve ready to learn the f16c . Later I’ll install the maxflight collective and maybe cyclic or the warthog stick back in just Velcro and I’m ready to learn the huey again. If I switch over to xp11 and need a yoke from honeycomb I’ll use the appropriate throttle foe the number of engines until the honeycomb throttle is released then I’ll be good for ga/comm flight. Now if I feel like the need for speed I’ll pull out the yoke/stick and tpr pedals and pop in the tm racing controls. All in vr. I might have things that will be up for sale if things work out. Now I got the pit, computer, vr hmd,and controls all setup. The one thing I’ve not looked into is the audio system. Iirc the mb has a good sound car but it can’t do anything without the amp and speakers. I plan on using the intern mic and speaker connection for my mic and headset I want the other sounds to come from an external setup. Plus besides my gametrix seat cover I want some more engine feel plus external sounds. Ok what’s the best way for a compact setup ? Which one to get or what to get and how best to set it up. I would have used some of my old surround sound setup but someone felt they needed it more. BlackeyCole 20years usaf XP-11.
