kiss4luna Posted November 17, 2007 Posted November 17, 2007 Today, when I was playing the Mig-29 quick mission, the LOFC stopped responding again. This issue appears randomly. Sometimes it will happens when playing replay. And when it comes, not only the Windows OS but also the LOFC can't be operative---Ctrl+Alt+Del, or Alt+Tab or anything else, there is just no response. Then I have to press the restart button---and if I do so, sometimes I have to reinstall the LOFC because of some unseen but critical damage to LOFC files. And this will lead to a much higher frequency of application crash to LOFC so I have to clear out the program and reinstall it. My rig is AMD X2 3800+, ATi X1950GT with 256MB GRAM, DDR667 1GBx2, with Simple Chinese Windows XP SP2 OS, bought in last summer, never got problems except playing LOMAC and LOFC. I'm really looking forward to 1.13 patch besides DCS:Black Shark. It will help a lot if 1.13 can solve fps-doom over big cities and many other bugs. lol RTX 3070
Brit_Radar_Dude Posted November 19, 2007 Posted November 19, 2007 Beofre you run LOFC, did you open some other window first (eg windows explorer) so when you do Alt+Tab, there is something for it to swap to? If you are experiencing fps problems over cities, then I guess your graphic options are set too high and you should dial them back a bit. You have a reasonable specification PC system, but you have to understand that LOFC is not like other games you might have - LOFC is very very CPU dependent. The more units in a mission and the lower you fly - then the harder the CPU has to work. Not many folks have a system good enough that they can set everything on maximum and fly low over cities and have lots of units and still get decent fps. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Sorry Death, you lose!
