Sedlo Posted December 11, 2019 Posted December 11, 2019 It's a really cool step, and it happened in my backyard! Fully stoked to see this day, looking forward to see it tested and certified soon. My Youtube Channel MY DCS MISSIONS
MiG21bisFishbedL Posted December 11, 2019 Posted December 11, 2019 (edited) This is an excellent step forward and will herald a more affordable entry to aviation, which we sorely need. I wouldn't expect much endurance, but your average hop around the patch is what? An hour? Give us an hour in the air and 30 minutes reserve and you have something that's pretty great for the bulk of instruction. Just keep a regular 172 around for your cross country work and it's all good. xvii-Dietrich Posted December 14, 2019 Posted December 14, 2019 It's notable that the first electric aeroplane is a seaplane. Seems to be even more challenging to get up to take off velocity from water than wheels or a catapult. I love the DHC-2. It is an amazing little plane. It was used militarily too (*hint*). ;)
